The International MBA (IMBA)

UPDATE: November 12, 2017:
The International MBA (IMBA) program offered by National Chengchi University (NCCU) is the premier English-taught MBA program in Taiwan. The program has dual accreditation by AACSB and EQUIS and emphasizes the cultivation of elite professionals from around the world into future business leaders in an international environment. Allowing one to develop a global view with an Asian perspective. With the continued growth of Asia’s emerging economies and the expansion of firms on a global scale, the NCCU IMBA thus offers the perfect venue for international candidates to learn about Asian economies and for Taiwanese candidates to benefit from an international education without traveling abroad.

This IMBA program is designed to provide a meaningful balance between theoretical and practical learning. That is, applying the case study method; for instance, is a common way to enable students to learn by doing and simultaneously teaching others. Another advantage of this program are the strong links it has with the business community. That is to say, participants are frequently given the opportunity to engage with real world business leaders, who are invited to teach courses or host seminars.

As a side note, please be aware that most of the IMBA classes are being taught in the evenings, since quite a few IMBA students each year tend to be professionals who do have a daytime job. Yet, this may actually represent an advantage since it provides plenty of opportunities for you to learn from your fellow classmates’ practical experiences as well.
